Title: Skandika Collection
Artist: Svenja Nesch
A beautiful day, the Baltic Sea, a beach chair and lots of sand. In addition, a few design and technology enthusiasts who asked themselves a question in the immediate vicinity of the water:
Why, for example, are bathrooms and their equipment predominantly boring and unimaginative, standardized in form, size and color - and that for decades?
There is another way!
And because everybody of Sandhelden was already fascinated by 3D printing technology and its limitless possibilities back then, we came up with the idea of using it to create truly individual, exciting, aesthetic and style-conscious forms that would allow us to create something new and unique.
But from what? The solution was right at our feet - but we didn‘t know it immediately. A long phase of testing, experimenting and trying out began - including the material „on which“ the idea was born: Sand
The idea of turning sand into bathroom furniture has now become a reality.
